Genetic variability of alfalfa fertility under conditions of open pollination (polycross) has been studied. Seventeeh alfalfa genotypes were studied for the yield components (inflorescence length, number of florets per inflorescence, number of inflorescences per stem, pollen fertility, number of ovules per ovary, number of pods per inflorescence, number of seeds per pod, number of seeds per inflorescence) and seed yield (g/square meter, i.e. kg/ha).
