Mapping of chlorina mutant genes on the long arm of homoeologous group 7 chromosomes in common wheat ditelocentric lines [Triticum aestivum L.]

English. Chlorina mutations of hexaploid wheat have somewhat less chlorophyll a and significantly less chlorophyll b than wild type plants. Ditelosomic lines for long arms of homoeologous group 7 chromosomes of cv Chinese Spring (CS) and near-isogenic lines of Novosibirskaya 67 with the chlorina mutant gene were used to map homoeologous chlorina mutant loci (Cn-A1, Cn-B1 and Cn-D1). The distance from the centromere to each of three loci for chlorina mutant genes was mapped as 47.2 cM for Cn-A1 on chromosome 7AL, 42.2 cM for Cn-B1 on chromosome 7BL and 42.0 cM for Cn-D1 on chromosome 7DL. It is shown that the newly developed CS ditelosomic 7DL line was useful to analyze the genes on chromosome 7D

[Le mutazioni chlorina del frumento esaploide contengono una quantità un po´ minore di clorofilla a e una quantità significativamente inferiore di clorofilla b rispetto alle piante normali. Sono state utilizzate linee ditelosomiche per i bracci lunghi dei cromosomi omologhi del gruppo 7 della cv Chinese Spring (CS) e linee pressoché isogeniche della cv Novosibirskaia 67 con il gene mutante chlorina per mappare i loci mutanti chlorina omologhi (Cn-A1, Cn-B1 e Cn-D1). La distanza dal centromero a ognuno dei tre loci dei geni del mutante chlorina è stata mappata come 47,2 cM per Cn-A1 sul cromosoma 7AL, 42,2 cM per Cn-B1 sul cromosoma 7BL e 42,0 cM per Cn-D1 sul cromosoma 7DL. E´ dimostrato che la linea 7DL ditelosomica di CS sviluppata di recente era utile per analizzare i geni sul cromosoma 7D.]
