Toguchi, T.(Hokkaido Univ., Sapporo (Japan)) | Demura, K.
The price of processed milk, which has a significant impact on the pricing of drinking milk, is systematically determined in Japan. Hokkaido is a major producer of processed, milk in the nation; therefore, any trend in the prefecture's dairy industry greatly influences the domestic price of drinking milk. While the price of processed milk is strictly determined by a system, the price is also influenced by political factors. This study aims at identifying political factors that play roles in determining the price of processed milk.
