Studies on composting of unused ligneous resources and livestock feces

The experiments were composting Livestock Feces mixed with crushed cutting waste of the cedar, sawing waste, drifting wood and foliage (broadleaf). The dairy cattle feces and ligneous resources were mixed in 2: 1, respectively. 1) The fermentation temperature of all types composts rose over 60 deg C in the short term. 2) EC, T-N, T-C, C/N ratio and survival rate of dry matter greatly changed in each type during in the 12 weeks. 3) The amount of phenolic compounds extracted with cold water, which inhibits the growth of the crop, decreased after 12 weeks from 355-432mg/100g in the composting start to 55-109mg/100g. The growth of the pollen tube was over 80%, without the growth inhibition-ness of the crop, after 8 weeks. 4) The experiment on growth of vegetables which used the compost piled 20 weeks to correspondent 8t/10a, all compost was abounding for the yield for 0.57g of non-fertilization of the control and 0.70g which used 5kg nitrogen at 0.78-1.21g, and the good evaluation was obtained. 5) These results indicated that Unused Ligneous Resources such as cutting waste of the ceder were available as a secondary material of the cattle dung composting. 6) In addition, the cutting waste of the cedar may reduce odor emission quantity in the composting process.
