In order to obtain breeding materials, morphological characteristics and field resistance of Tomato yellow leaf curl virus(TYLCV) resistant varieties colected from foreign countries were examined. 1. TYLCV resistant varieties were cultured in greenhouse on Horticultural research division, and 4 varieties which had indeterminate type, high-yeilding ability, large fruit size and slightly flattened fruit shape were selected. 2. Those 4 varieties showed resistance to TYLCV-Aichi line and were proved to grow normally in spite of infection TYLCV by field resistance test which were cultured in two fields on area where TYLCV was widespread. 3. It is considered that 'ATHYLA' is an elite line for breeding material causing of morphological characteristic and field resistance test.
