We examined new cultivation techniques of rice variety "Haenuki" in Mogami area of Yamagata prefecture. Results are as follows. 1. "Haenuki" will be adapted to the paddy fields under 200m among the mountains in Mogami area. 2. We will be able to decrease the protein content of brown rice under 7.0%, when we fertilize by top-dressed N at neck node differentiation stage under the number of paddy rice per m(2) between 28000 to 32000.
