Cypripedium macranthos var. rebunense is one of the most famous wild orchids in Japan, because the variety is considered as a symbol for conservation of threatened plants. Recently we have established two kinds of efficient propagation methods; one being from protocorm-1ike bodies (PLBs) derived from mature seeds and the other from symbiotic seed germination with a symbiotic fungus. The present study was carried out to establish manuals for efficient acclimation and potting of the plants obtained by these methods, and for management of potted plants.
