Expeditionary experiments were done in winter and spring oilseed rape crops of agricultural companies and private farms during 2001-2003. The fungi population on seed (internal infection) was determined on PDA. During the experimental years the content of seed borne Alternaria spp. micromycetes was high in winter and spring oilseed rape seed samples. The content of seed infected with Cladosporium spp. was lower than the content of seed infected with Alternaria spp., but the seed of winter and spring oilseed rape varieties' were only slightly infected with Botrytis spp. In all cases the content of Alternaria spp.-infected seed increased with an increase in Alternaria blight severity on siliques. The seed too of winter and spring oilseed rape was infected with micromycetes that are considered to be saprothropic to rape. The infection level of Mucor spp. on seed was low in all experimental years, and in many cases the content of infected seed did not exceed 5.2%.
