The aim of the study was to determine sugar-factory requirements with regard to quality of sugar beets. Analyses were based on data from sugar factory Sokolow S.A., which from 2003 belonged to Inland Sugar Company. The study showed that contamination of sugar beets increased after 2000. It was a result of mechanized harvest of sugar beets. The contents of sugar in beets fluctuated from 14-17 percent. It depended on weather condition and crop management. In order to obtain a sugar beet crop of good quality and quantity at suitable time are the factory supplied seeds and pesticides to farmers on credit
