Variability of mineral nitrogen content in soil profile in condition of long-term fertilization experiment

The aim of this work was estimation of changes in nitrogen contents in long-term field experiment in which growing doses of nitrogen were differentiated depending of plants and had overlaped in succeding years, but on control plots no nitrogen fertilizers were applied from very beginning. It was found that the total content of mineral nitrogen and its nitrate form in soil profile 0-90 cm was related to precipitation amount and farmyard manure application in study years. In wet years, when simultaneously farmyard manure was applied, smaller amounts of mineral nitrogen were found than in dry years without organic fertilization
