The target of this article is to pesent an analysis of the economic realization of the intellectual property on tobacco species belonging to the National centre of agrarian sciences and the efficiency of the policy of selection, the legislative and economic aspects of the right to use, the relevance of the right to use, the real existing legislative normatives regarding activities and the approaches of the economic realization of the property on the tobacco species as well. The study reveals the attitude that the only means the scientific research institutes to succeed regarding the economic results of their activities of selection of new plant and animal species refers to the divers ways of the intellectual property realization. The clarification of the presented issues would favorably impact not only the policy of the scientific research on tobacco but also the management efficiency of the agricultural science as well.
