During the period of 20022004 at the Institute of Forage Crops, Pleven the effect of organic fertilizer Humustim on the dry root mass and nodulation of spring pea was tested. The experiment was carried out without irrigation on leached chernozem soil type. Treatments during the vegetation and a presowing treatment were applied. It was found that the treatment of spring pea seeds with Humustim during vegetation of pea (one and two treatments) increased the dry root mass by 12%; nodulation by 13 to 24%, and specific nodulating ability by 16 to 23%. When applying a presowing seed treatment at the dose of 1.2 l/t + one treatment during vegetation, the exceeding as compared to untreated control was 24% for the dry root mass; 38% for nodule number and 28% for specific nodulating ability. The results obtained allows recommending the measure as an addition to the technology of spring pea growing.
