Tendencies in sour cherry fertilization
2007
Krishkov, E.
Relatively few are the studies on sour cherry nutrition, which is probably due to the smaller area occupied by this crop in comparison with the globally more widespread fruit tree species. A review is done of the sour cherry fertilization tendencies, from which it becomes obvious that the existing in the literature data from investigation on sour cherry nutrition and fertilization are related to soil and climatic conditions significantly different from the characteristics of the soils and climate in the regions in Bulgaria in which sour cherry is grown and these data cannot be used directly in practice. The lack of sufficient number of studies on sour cherry organic and mineral fertilization in our country necessitates the implementation of investigations for determination of the regional specifics in the background of the scientific achievements in the world and the application of scientifically well-founded organic and mineral fertilization o f sour cherry plantations.
