[Results of experimental testing of electronic-mechanical separator of potato heap and their analysis]

Results of experimental research into the influence of the speed of conveyer band transporting potato heap onto the sorting table and the content of stones in it on the quality of potato sorting have been shown. Rational parameters and modes of operation of sorting station with electronic-mechanical separator, which decrease losses and the rate of tuber damaging have been determined. Research of electronic and mechanical separator of impurity from potato heap were conducted with the purpose of reception of the additional information about those changes in quality of device work which could occur because weight of the technological heap acting on division under production conditions, is formed as casual process. Influence of operating factors was specified. From comparison of the investigated restrictions received as a result of theoretical research on speed and submission of components with the received of experimental values it is visible, that process of separation of impurity is essentially influenced on their content in heap. The process of separation becomes worse with increase in the content of impurity. Thus optimum values of speed and submission are close enough. It means, that at a correct choice of parameters qualitative division of components of potato heap is provided
