Theoretical, methodological and practical questions of food safety in view of development of world agriculture, formation of food resources and features of a national food complex are considered. The essence, value, criteria, parameters, directions of achievement and the forecast of food safety, its internal and international aspects, and also possible threats and risks are investigated in the form of a system problem with allocation of the major hierarchical levels. Practical aspects of food safety are considered in the form of the monitoring executed for a number of years by a technique of the author. In contrast to earlier performed work in the considered monography principles and laws of formation and the functioning of food system caused by globalization of economy, covering up to 60 % of a world total product and over 70 % of trade are proved. Stability of functioning of national food system is investigated in a context of the integration processes, one of which conditions is liberalization of international trade. Monography is prepared on the basis of research of tendencies of development of food economy as the whole integral system directed towards to achievement having high economic value.
