The high-grade, balanced feeding is one of the major factors of reception of maximum production quantity and long economic use of repair steers. However growth of cattle efficiency restrains by low quality of forages that leads to the significant overexpenditure of fodder means, negatively influences on nutrients digestibility, worsens use of forages. Therefore only due to traditional forages it is impossible to provide animals with all necessary feed elements. Domestic and foreign experience shows, that the most rational way of achievement of high-grade feed of animals – is completion of deficiency in diets of animals by means of vitamin-mineral additives. Despite of significant amount of the research in the field of mineral feed of animals, there is insufficiently studied a question on rates of need of young cattle in some microelements, in particular, in molybdenum. The data who have collected for last decade about the contents of molybdenum in animal and person tissue, and also about its value at participation in biochemical processes allow to carry this element to number of irreplaceable microelements what are cobalt, zinc, copper, manganese, iodine, selenium, etc. From three investigated dozes of molybdenum (0,5; 1,0; 1,5 mg/kg of dry substance) the most effective is the doze in 1,0 mg on 1 kg of dry substance. Inclusion in a diet of young cattle molybdenum in structure of premix in quantity of dry substance of 1,0 mg/kg has rendered positive influence on growth and development of breeding steers. The highest daily gain during the treatment period was 966,0 g, that above in comparison with other groups on 3,6-5,5%. Use at breeding steers of II experimental group in structure of premix molybdenum in an optimum doze allows to increase volume of ejaculate by 4,3% and to increase concentration of sperms in ejaculate
