Effect of irrigation water upper limits on tomato plug-seedlings

Chinese. 以“903”番茄为供试品种,采用128孔标准穴盘,进行了番茄夏季穴盘育苗不同灌水上限试验。测定了番茄幼苗株高、子叶长宽度、茎粗、单叶叶面积、植株地上部和地下部干重、壮苗指数、叶绿素含量、根系活力等指标。结果表明:当灌水上限为基质相对含水量的85%时,茎粗增长量、干物质积累和根系活力等生长和生理指标显著高于其它处理,因此,在番茄穴盘育苗中推荐基质相对含水量85%作为最佳灌水上限。
Show more [+] Less [-]English. “903”, a tomato variety was used as tested material and experiments of raising seedlings with the normal 128-hole seedling trays were carried out under different irrigating water upper limits in summer.The indexes of the tomato seedlings such as plant height,cotyledon length and width,stem diameter,leaf area, dry weight of root and shoot,strong seedling index,chlorophyll content and rot activity were measured. The results showed that when the irrigation upper limit Was 85% of the relative water content of medium, the increment of stem diameter,accumulated dry matter,root activity of seedlings and so on were greater than those of seedlings under other irrigation upper limits.So it is suggested that 85% of the relative water content of medium be used as the optimum irrigation upper limit in raising tomato plug-seedlings.
