Effect of low temperature storage on senescence physiology of the Chinese herbaceous peony flowers

Chinese. 研究了低温贮藏过程中芍药切花2个品种‘雪峰’和‘桃花飞雪’在不同贮期的开花率、瓶插寿命及其生理指标的变化。结果表明,随着贮藏期的延长,芍药开花率迅速下降,瓶插寿命和瓶插至盛花天数很快缩短,水分平衡值不断减小,花枝霉变率迅速上升;花瓣中1-氨基环丙烷-1-羧酸(ACC)氧化酶活性、过氧化氢酶(CAT)活性、超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)活性和可溶性蛋白质含量的变化趋势均表现为前期上升,后期下降,但花瓣中丙二醛含量和细胞膜相对透性均迅速上升;低温贮藏60 d,芍药仍然具有较高的开花率和吸水能力;白色品种‘雪峰’抗病性和耐贮藏性较紫红色品种‘桃花飞雪’差。表明水分平衡失调、膜脂过氧化作用和SOD、CAT活性的下降是导致贮藏切花衰老、开花率下降的主要原因。
Show more [+] Less [-]English. The blooming rate and vase life and senescence physiology of Chinese herbaceous peony flowers ‘Xuefeng’ and ‘Taohuafeixue’ in low temperature storage were studied. The results showed that the change trends of the blooming rate and vase life of Chinese herbaceous peony flowers were shortened. ACC oxidas and CAT activity increased and then decreased. SOD activity rose slowly at earlier stage and then fell down quickly. However, the MDA content and the relative membrane permeability of Chinese herbaceous constant increased during storage time. The Chinese herbaceous peony had higher blooming rate and absorption after 60 days storage in low temperature. The disease resistance of ‘Xuefeng’ is weaker than ‘Taohuafeixue’. The balance of water was lost, the increase of membrance permeation caused by membrane lipid peroxidation and the decrease of SOD and CAT activity were the main reasons leading to senescence of the cut flowers.
