Phaseolus aureus, un nuevo hospedante de Meloidogyne incognita en Cuba.

En agosto de 1982 se colectaron plantas de Phaseolus aureus Roxb con una gran cantidad de nódulos radicales, en áreas de la Empresa de Cultivos Varios '19 de Abril', del municipio de Quivicán, en la provincia de La Habana. En las plantas infestadas se determinó la especie Meloidoqyne incognita (Kofoid y White) Chitwood. Mediante análisis de regresión lineal se determinó que por cada grado de aumento, en escala de 0 - 10 grados, en el índice de infestación radical, las plantas disminuyeron como promedio 6,52 cm de altura y 2,52 vainas.

In August 1982, Phaseolus aureus Roxb. plants were collected with a great amount of rost nodules in areas of the Miscellaneous Crops Enterprise '19 de Abril', Quivicán, Havana province. The species Meloidoqyne incoqnita (Kofoid & White) Chitwood was determined in these plants. Using the linear regression analysis, it was found that for each degree of increase of a 0-10 scale of the rost infestation rate, the average plant height reduction was 6,52 cm, and the number of pods decrease 2,52/plant.
