Se evaluó la preferencia de los roedores dañinos Rattus rattus (L.) y Mus musculus (L.) hacia trece variedades de alimentos mediante el empleo de cajas cebaderos en caña de azúcar. Los alimentos evaluados, en su mayoría cereales, fueron: avena descascarada, trigo en grano, arroz descascarado, harina de maíz, harina de soya, harina de maíz - miel final, harina de trigo, harina de soya desgrasada, harina de girasol, cebada en grano, harina de carne, sémola de trigo y levadura. Se pudo observar una marcada preferencia por los alimentos en grano, especialmente: avena descascarada, arroz descascarado y trigo en grano; asimismo, se constató lo poco apetecible que resultaron la harina de soya desgrasada, la harina de carne y la levadura.
Show more [+] Less [-]English. The preference of the harmful rodents Rattus rattus (L.) and Mus musculus towards 13 types of food was tested using baiting boxes in sugarcane fields. The evaluated foodstuffs, mostly cereals, were the following ones: hulled oats, wheat grains, husked rice, corn meal, soybean meal, corn meal + molasses, wheat flour, degreased soybean meal, sunflower meal, barley in grain, meat meal, weat semolina and yeast. A marked preference was observed for the foodstuffs in grain, particularly for hulled oats, husked rice and wheat grains, and it was also verifies how unpalatable the degreased soybean meal, the meat meal and the yeast were.
