Spanish; Castilian. Se estudió la sobrevivencia de Xanthomonas campestris pv vasculorum en suelo Ferralítico Rojo artificialmente inoculado con suspensión bacteriana y restos vegetales infectados. La población del patógeno se determinó por conteo directo de colonias crecidas en el medio selectivo Xv usado en este trabajo. El período de persistencia de la bacteria en el suelo osciló entre 45 (en suelo no estéril inoculado con suspensión bacteriana) y 60 días (en suelo estéril con igual fuente de inoculo). La presencia de restos vegetales no favoreció la permanencia del patógeno en el suelo.
Show more [+] Less [-]English. The survival of Xanthomonas campestris pv vasculorum, was studied in Red Ferralitic soil artificially inoculated with bacterial suspension and infected plant debris. The pathogen population was determined by direct counting of graven colonias on the Xv selectiva medium used in this work. The period of persistency of the bacterium in the soil varied between 45 days (in unsterile soil inoculated with bacterial suspension) and 60 days (in sterile soil with the same source of inoculum). The presence of plant debris did not advantage the persistency of the pathogen in the soil.
