Combate de Acromyrmex octospinosus (Reich) (Hymenoptera: Formicidae), con el cebo micoinsecticida Bibisav-2.

Para el combate de la hormiga cortadora de hojas Acromyrmex octospinosus (Reich) fue utilizado el cebo micoinsecticida BIBISAV-2 que tiene como ingrediente activo al hongo entomopatogeno Beauveria bassiana (Bals) Vuill; El experimento se realizó en áreas del 'Parque Lenín,' en Ciudad de La Habana. Los tratamientos fueron realizados a la dosis de 15 y 100 gr/m2 del bibijagüero del cebo químico dodecacloro y BIBISAV- 2 respectivamente, aplicado al atardecer al lado de las pistas o caminos con actividad de forrajeo de la plaga, donde se cuantificó en cuatro agujeros el número de insectos que entraban y salían durante un minuto, el área del bibijagüero y el número de agujeros por nidos. Las variantes se replicaron 5 veces. Los resultados demostraron que BIBISAV-2 es capaz de reducir la actividad de los bibijagüeros a partir de los 15 días de realizado los tratamientos con efectividad de 97 , mientras que a los 30 días se observó el cierre de los agujeros y la mortalidad de la colonia con resultados de efectividad similares con el formicida Mirex.

English. The bite fungi-insecticide BIBISAV-2 was used to control the leaf cutter ant Acromyrmex octospinosus (Reich). This bite has as an active ingredient the entomopathogen fungi Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) Vuill. It was used in the field of the Lenin Park in Ciudad de la Habana. The treatments were applied in doses of 100 g/m2 in the anthill at the sunset at both sides of the roads in which there was forage activity of the pest, from this field. We took 4 holesand we measured the number of insects that went in and hour during a minute, the field of the anthill and the number of holes per nests. These variants were applied five times. The results showed that BIBISAV-2 is capable of reducing the activity of the anthills is days after the treatments were applied with an effectiveness of 97% and is days later, it was seen the closure of the holes and the destruction of the colony with results of effectiveness similar to the bite MIREX.
