El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo conocer la potencialidad hospedante de Euphorbia heterophylla y Teramnus uncinatus con respecto al ácaro de las dos manchas, Tetranychus urticae Koch. Se realizó el ciclo de vida del ácaro por el método de las pastillas, tanto por el haz como por el envés de la hoja. Hubo diferencias significativas entre la duración del ciclo de desarrollo sobre el haz y el envés de la hoja, con una media de 10 y 11 días, en ese orden.

The aim of the present paper was to determine the host potentiality of Euphorbia heterophylla and Teramnus uncinatus in relation to the red mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch. Mite's life cycle was developed by means of the tablet method, on both sides of the leaf. Significant differences were evident between life length (middle = 11-12 days) on upper and lower leaf sides.
