English. The aim of this work was to determine the capacity of Arthrobotrys to colonize coffee straw. The mycelial growth of three isolates of Arthrobotrys spp. (isolates 25, 31 y 33) on coffee straw after five days, incubated at 25°C was compared with the growth of the colonies on the standard Agar culture medium. Significant differences in the growth of the isolates in both media were registered. There were differences among the isolates on coffee straw medium. The higher growth was recorded in the isolate 31. Significant differences in the growth of the isolates on Potato Dextrose Agar were not observed.
Show more [+] Less [-]Spanish; Castilian. El objetivo de este trabajo fue determinar la capacidad de Arthrobotrys spp. para colonizar la pulpa del café. Para ello, se midió el crecimiento micelial de tres aislamientos (25, 31 y 33), sembrados sobre este sustrato a los cinco días de incubación a 25° C, comparándolos con el obtenido sobre el medio standard Agar. Se observaron diferencias significativas en el crecimiento de las colonias sobre los dos medios. Se apreció que, sobre el medio de pulpa de café, el crecimiento entre los aislamientos fue diferente, el 31 fue el que logró mayor crecimiento. No se observaron diferencias significativas entre los aislamientos sobre Agar Papa Dextrosa.
