Study and selection on suitable traits on Chickpea genotypes in F3 generation indryland condition

In order to identify high yielding and suitable chickpea varieties for tropical and subtropical regions of country.This survey was performed with 42 populations F3 in Gachsaran agricultural research station.This study was done through a augmented design with 2 blocks, each population was Planted in 16 rows with 4 meters Length and spacing rows 25 centemeters from each other.In the growing period was recorded some agronomical and morpho-physiological traits, such as date germination, days to 50% flowering, days to matuturiy, reaction to Ascochyta blight, fusarium and other diseases. As the result 10 populations favourable, selected for much more survey in preliminary and 113 number plants for F4.
