2004
Hassan Omidi, Amir | Khosravi, Ali
In order to achieve new winter safflower lines with desirable traits the seeds of F3 generation obtained from 13 hybrid seeds were planted at SPII. Some important characters were recorded in field ,during the growth period , such as : date of germination , date of bud formation date of flowering , date of maturity and no/heads per plant, no/seeds per head and height,100.S.W, no of branches. As a results 200 different single plants were selected .In this study and for 2 years the highest number of heads 21,47,seeds per plant(39,48),100.s.w(43 gr,36), height (131,136 Cm) and oil %(39,34) were recorded respectively. High phenotypic and genotypic variation were observed among genotypes that can be used in breeding programs to achieve new varieties with high seed and oil yields. Key words :safflower , segregating generation
