Selection of Lines With Good Agronomic Charachtristics For High Yield In Wheat Segregating Populations In Dryland Conditions

In the present study 606 bread wheat segregating populations including 30 F1, 20 F2, 335 F3 and 23 F6 generations were studied in Gachsaran agricultural dryland research station and 198 F3 generations were evaluated in kohdasht agricultural dryland Research station at 2002-3 wheat growing season through modified bulk method. During the growing period selection were done for desirable traits such as early vigor, plant height, .tiller number .uniformity of panicle exertion, earliness and reaction to major diseases. At the result 30 F2, 20 F3, 160 F4 populations and 23 pure line were selected in Gachsaran and 69 F4 populations were chosen in Kohdasht.
