Food liberalization under the WTO system may lead to the increase in both food price and supply instability through the concentration on a few exporting countries in the world food market. Under these circumstances, securing stable food supply to national public is a vital food policy task through enhancing the capacity in both domestic production and food import from international market. This study is to quantify the transmission effect of production variability in major rice producing countries on world market.
