Natural bioregulators - exogenous inductors of seed germination under ex situ conservation
2006
Corlateanu, L.
Data on revelation of specific seed reaction of leguminous, grain and vegetable crops on natural and accelarated aging are presented in this article. The possibility of application of already known and new natural bioregulators of steroid nature for the increase of seed viability under ex situ conservation was studied and the optimal concentrations for stimulation were revealed. It was shown that frequency and spectrum of the chromosome aberration of the apical meristem of seed germ rootlets after the natural and accelerated aging are increased for some grain and vegetable crops as compared to normal seeds, and the treatment with bioregulators leads to the decrease of these indicators. These experimental findings allowed us to make a conclusion concerning the expediency of application of steroid glycosides as the exogenous inductors of seed germination under ex situ conservation
