[The distribution of carbon and nitrogen in rootstock organs and the effect of the alteration of donor-acceptor relations in grafted apricot plants [Prunus armeniaca]
2004
Piscorscaia, V. | Siscanu, G.
The purpose of the research has been to study some aspects of carbon and nitrogen metabolism in various rootstocks (apricot, peach, almond) and apricot plants, grafted on them, during vegetation. It was established that the differences in carbon and nitrogen accumulation and partitioning in the organs of grafted apricot plants and the rootstocks are caused by their functional peculiarities and modification in source-sink relation between grafting components. Carbon-nitrogen relationship can possibly be used for rational choice of rootstocks for apricot plants.
