Effect of different doses of NPK fertilizers on the seed yield, oil contents and oil yield of different sunflower promising varieties at Peshawar, NWFP (Pakistan)
2003
Usman, M. (Agricultural Research Inst., Tarnab (Pakistan). PARC Oilseed Botanist) | Said, A.
Sunflower seed yield, oil content and oil yield as affected by different doses of NPK fertilizer application were studied in the two different location of NWFP i.e. Agricultural Research Institute, Tarnab, Peshawar and cereal Crops Research Institute, Pirsabak, Nowshera during kharif 1998. It was observed that application of N in combination with P2O2 and K2O increase the seed yield as well as yield of oil on hectare basis. Further, the oil yield is progressively increased as the seed yield is increased with increasing the application of NPK fertilizer. NPK applied at the rate of 200:80:80 was found to be the most economical dose for optimum seed yield as well as yield of oil on hectare basis.
