Yield of naked and husked oats depending on nitrogen fertilization

The yielding of two naked oats cultivars (Akt, STH 3997) and one husked cultivar (Skrzat) depending on nitrogen rates: 0, 30, 60 and 90 kg/ha in field experiment in 1998-00 was investigated. Naked oats characterized distinctly lower grain yield, notable higher protein content in grain, little lower protein yield and little higher net energy yield (for pigs) in comparison to husked oats. Strong increase of grain yield and protein yield of all cultivars was stated at N rate - 60 kg/ha. Under condition of delayed sowing date and lower soil pH, higher efficiency of N rate - 30 kg/ha and lower of rate 90 kg N/ha was stated
