The studies were conducted to investigate changes in selected quality features of spring wheat grain and its yields as affected by different organic fertilization applied before forecrop with increasing rates of nitrogen fertilizers. It was found that the organic fertilizers applied before forecrop and ploughed down sugar beet leaves did not significantly affect the yields of spring wheat. Application of 150 or 200 kg N/ha significantly increased grain yield. Content of total protein in grain depended on nitrogen rather than organic fertilization
