The influence of tree sowing densities and two levels of crop management on yields and chemical composition of spring wheat grain were determined in a field experiment conducted in 2000-02. It was proved that grain yield of cultivar Opatka depended mainly on weather pattern over the years. The yield increased under higher fertilization along with intensive chemical protection of plants against agrophages. The density of 550 grains per square m appeared to be the most beneficial for spring wheat yields
