The objective of experiment was to determine changes in number of weed seeds in soil as affected by percentage of potato in specialized crop rotations. Weed assessment in crop rotations was determined in potato. The most varying seed bank occurred in 0-10 cm layer, where number of weed species was by 9 in four-course crop rotation to 14 in two-course rotation potato - winter rye and ploughing down -this stubble crop. Mean in this layer 11 weed species were found and except for two-course crop rotation number of species was significant higher than number of species noticed in 10-20 cm layer
