In present research content of 16 PAH's in soils of allotment gardens was investigated. 18 research objects from Upper Silesia, Cracow, Lublin, Biala Podlaska and Stalowa Wola area (Poland) were chosen. The areas were characterized by various intensity of anthropogenic processes. Content of 16 PAH in soils of investigated areas ranged from 98.7 to 29004 mcg/kg. The highest content of PAH sum was noted in soils of Upper Silesia region (Zabrze, Bytom, Miasteczko Slaskie). In the remaining areas the content of investigated compounds sum usually did not exceed 2300 mcg/kg. Regardless of the area, highest participation of 3-and 4-ring PAH (fluoranthene and pyrene) was observed
