The experiment was established in 1999 and 2000 at the Felin Experimental Station of the Agricultural University of Lublin (Poland). Apple maiden trees cv. Szampion were planted on different rootstocks: M 26, P 14, P 2, P 60, M 9 and P 22. The intensity of flowering and yielding was investigated. The results of the experiment showed differences in the intensity of flowering, number of fruits after June drop and number of fruits at harvest time depending of the rootstock. The smallest flowering intensity was observed on rootstock P 14. The highest yield was found for trees growing on rootstock M 9, but the smallest was on P 14
