Reproduction traits of Busha cows

The paper presents basic reproduction characteristics of Busha cows, which exist in the region of Gora communa, Kosovo (Serbia). Investigations were carried out in Krushevo village (southwest part of the Sharplanina massif), in herds of Busha cows belonging to private owners. In the first year of investigations were included 62 cows and in the second 70 cows until 3 to 10 years of age. Calving of investigated population of Busha cows started on December and lasted until May. Higher intensity of calving was from December to February (63.0%), than in the period March-May (37.0% calving). Interval between two calving in investigated population of Busha cows was 388.69 days, and fertility 93.94%.
