The effect of phytase in nutrition of broilers on carcass and meat quality

The trial was carried out on 100 Arbor Acres chickens divided into two groups. Broilers in the control group were fed by standard complete mixtures, without animal meal. The mixtures for experimental group of broilers contained the same raw products and they were supplemented with phytase. The obtained results show that achieved live weight and weight gain of dressed carcass and dressing percentages of broilers from the experimental group varied less comparing to the broilers from the control group. The share of the breast part and waiter thigh drumstick in chicken carcasses were significant higher in broilers from the experimental group. Quality of meat was not affected by trial treatment.
