2001
Kovcin, S. | Pejic, N. | Trnjakov, J.
In this paper it has been examined the effect of different levels and origin of lysine on fatteners performances and carcass quality. It has been used pure crystallized lysine hydrochloride and lysine concentrate (KKL). Increased levels of dietary lysine improved daily gain and feed conversion ratio. Daily gain has been increased from 4.22 to 9.84%, depending on lysine source. In the same time, FCR has been improved from 4.69 to 7.81%. Meat content, as a result of increased lysine level, showed slight and nonsignificant increment. Thickness of fat has not been influenced with neither lysine level nor lysine source.
