Extrusion of rapeseed with agricultural products

The possibility the using of extrusion of rapeseed and rapeseed with following agricultural products: corn, wheat, barley, triticale, and alfalfa was investigated in this work. Rapeseed and mixtures of rapeseed with agricultural products were extruded in the extruder type M2, model 1000, made by Oprema-Zootehnicka Oprema, Ludbreg, at 125 +/- 1 deg C. Based on the chemico-physical characteristics of obtained feeds, as well as reduction of the content of total rapeseed glucosinolates in range 10-15% in comparison with untreated products, it can be concluded that dry extrusion can be a good choice for thermal treatment of rapeseed in combination with analyzed agricultural products.
