Livestock density as a one of factors of crop yields stability
2006
Bosnjak, D. | Rodic, V.
In the processes of planning and organizing agricultural production the relationship between plant and livestock production are always relevant. The initial base for the evaluation of those relationship is livestock density in certain areas. In order to estimate mutual dependence of plant and livestock production in the paper analysis of achieved yields of sugarbeet and corn (as a representatives of crops which require organic manure) and livestock density has done. One can say that increased number of livestock per ha (indirectly, through land) influences stability and height of the yields. Countries which have higher livestock density often achieve greater and stable yields. Taking into consideration that established functional dependence in many cases is not significant not even at risk as high as 10% achieved results can not be generalized. They, however, direct authors attention to similar research, but for narrow areas, more homogeneous in natural conditions.
