Production potentials of light and heavy type poultry parent flocks in Serbia during 2001 were analyzed in this paper. A method of appraisal of the means of production results realized in comprison with the average of technological norms was applied. The analyze showed that the parent flocks of light hybrid lines of fowls were utilized less than 70% and broiler parent flocks were utilized approximately 60% of possible capacity.
