In this paper the state of the art in the field of mechanical weed control of the intra-row area in row crops is pointed out and most interesting adeas and prototypes of the contemporary devices for intra-row weeding are presented. Short introduction to the problem of intra-row weeding is given with most important details and constrains. ALso, the methods of great significance and researches in field of online plant/weed detection necessary for successful intra-row weeding are shown.
