Potential raw material base for biodiesel production in Serbia

Energy production in the world is increasing permanently. European Union Directives pointed out clearly that all its members to 2010 must substitute the 5.75% of total needs for fossil diesel with biodiesel. For realization of the anticipated biodiesel production is necessary to provide sufficient raw material sources. First of all, in the Republic of Serbia, there are soybean and sunflower. Rising of oilseed rape for biodiesel production is going to be more important because of high oil content in the seeds. It is need to learn the possibility of collecting of used kitchen oil as raw material to biodiesel production.
