The requirements set to adapt the fuel to the engine led to biodiesel as a fuel which could substitute the reference diesel fuel from the fossil sources. That was proved by numerous investigations in the world and in Serbia. Ecological aspects is very important and it was found that such kind of fuel much less contaminates the soil, water and air and eliminate to a great extend accumulation of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere also, and by that it diminishes the effect of glasshouse.
