Testing a universal laboratory device in alfalfa seed threshing

The paper presents technical characteristics of a universal forage threshing prototype device designed and constructed at the Forage Crops Research Centre in Krusevac, Serbia. The aim of the examination is practical use and threshing efficiency of the device in threshing certified alfalfa seed in macro trials. The efficiency is satisfactory because threshed grain amounted to 75.51-86.20% of the total sample seed amount at the first threshing. The threshed seed should be additionally processed due to the presence of impuries.
