Production traits of two different table egg layer strains

The paper presents the results of a comparative analysis of production traits of two light line hen strains, Hisen Brown and Shawer 579. The following production traits were examined during the investigation: hen body weight, laying performance, feed consumption and mortality. Based upon the test-obtained data, it can be concluded that the Hisen Brown hens achieved better production results under given production conditions.
