Upon examination of 60 blood sera in broiler breeder flock the first antibodies due to the infection could be detected when chickens were 6 weeks old. All further examination have proved presence of antibodies until the end of production period. Maternally derived antibodies in broiler chickens originating from this broiler breeder flock that was infected with CAV could be detected in a day old chickens and persisted until 2 weeks of age. The results of this examination present the first serological data to prove infection with CAV in Serbia.
