Persistency of milk production of Simmental breed cows

In this research 245 cows are included. They are daughters of ten sires, and all of them realized 548 lactations in the period of 2000 - 2003. Data were used from two cattle farms, Backa and Pobeda that are on goverment property Krivaja, Serbia. At first hundred days, cows produced approximately 1770 kg milk yield, and during the period of the first two hundred days, cows produced 3173 kg milk yield. The milk yield in monthly controls which were made approximately at 29.4 days, was 399 kg, which means 11.73 kg per day. Persistency of milk production was done by index R(2:1) and the average amount of milk was 79.57%.
